Carleigh Joseph-Olivas, LMSW

Carleigh Joseph-Olivas is a Licensed Master Social Worker, perinatal doula, and therapist specializing in maternal mental health, family education, and early relational health. With over a decade of experience as a doula, she supports women—particularly those navigating substance use disorder and various systemic barriers—through pregnancy, postpartum, and recovery with a trauma-informed and empowerment-centered approach.

She currently serves as Director of Pregnant and Parenting Intervention programs at the Houston and Austin locations of Santa Maria Hostel, Director of Operations and Community Education at Delighted to Doula's Houston expansion, and founder of Nurtured Roots, her personal initiative to positively impact communities by providing intensive education and support for pregnant and parenting families. Carleigh also serves in dual capacity on  the Texas Board of Postpartum Support International as our states Advocacy chair and Alliance for People of Color representative. Through her dedication to amplify the voices of the families in our communities, unwavering advocacy, and passionate desire to serve, she works to transform birth narratives and build maternal support programs that ensure positive outcomes for generations to come.
